About the spider lift
The Ruthmann Bluelift SA18HB is a tracked spider lift with a working height of 17.8 metres and up to 9.3 metres of outreach. It is a hybrid, so it runs on petrol outdoors and on 230V power indoors, which is what lets it work in atriums, churches and halls where a conventional boom would not fit.
It goes out as an operated hire only. Setting it up on its outriggers and reading the ground takes someone who does it regularly, so one of our licensed operators runs it for you and their time is already in the rate. You do not need a ticket.

Why is the spider lift only available with an operator?
It sets up on outriggers and the operator has to read the ground, slope and surroundings before it is raised. We run it ourselves so it is set up properly every time.
How high and how far can it reach?
Maximum working height is 17.8 metres. Outreach depends on the load in the basket: 9.3 metres at 120 kg, 7.5 metres at 200 kg and 7.0 metres at the 230 kg maximum.
How much room does it need?
It is a tracked machine that sets up on outriggers, and it works from a driveway on many jobs. Overall weight is 2,200 kg, so the ground has to take it. We will go over the site with you when we confirm the booking.
Can it be used indoors?
Yes. It is a hybrid with a 230V electric motor, so it can run on power inside buildings, and a petrol engine for outdoor use.
